At first glance, EM P.I.E Ltd might look like just another corporate acronym. But to me, it tells the story of where I’ve come from, and where I’m going. (And, if I’m honest, it also hints at my love of Everton and Pies!)

The "EM": 30 Years of Technical Excellence

The EM stands for EvertonMonkey, my long-standing identity online. For over 30 years, I have worked across the landscape of IT and Architecture. I have seen technology change, evolve, and revolutionize the world. My career has been built on understanding complex systems, designing robust architectures, and delivering code that works.

But professional success doesn't happen in a vacuum. The work ethic required to sustain a 30-year career wasn't learned in a classroom—it was learned at home.

The "P.I.E": The Heart of the Business

The P.I.E in my company name stands as a tribute to the memory of three people to whom I owe so much: my late mother, Pauline, and my late grandparents, Isabella and Ernie.

However, the foundation of my life was built by four people, not three. While the name honors those I miss every day, my Dad is equally responsible for the person I have become.

I had an amazing upbringing, entirely due to the hard work, endless love, and sacrifices of my Mam, Dad, Grandma, and Grandad. They instilled deep-rooted values in me: integrity, resilience, hard work and the importance of caring about what you do. They taught me that success isn't just about what you achieve, but how you treat people along the way.

They Built the Foundations. I Build the Code.

Together, my family wrote the blueprint for how to run an honest business. I simply translate those old-fashioned values into modern solutions.
